Yes It might have saved cost, time, and various efforts but with that comes its disadvantages such as
Health issues- It causes eye and headache and reduces physical activities.
Network Issues — The network range differs from time to time, region to region and mainly the students from villages suffer a lot due to low network.
Work or Imbalance schedule - sometimes students have some other housework at the same time, also when relatives or friends arrive home, they are not able to focus on the online class.
Mobile issues- Some students don’t have their own mobile phones or have low battery issues
Mental stress- It creates pressure among students
Environment- Studying environment is more important and there is a question that online class is giving a good environment for education. It is observed that there’s also a lack of interest.
The only way to counter these problems is to embrace online in conjunction with offline education as surely and steadily we are moving towards a virtual or hybrid medium of learning. Online education is more favorable for secondary school and university students, as they are less prone to develop health consequences than younger students. Offline education will allow younger kids to create a habit of functioning in a different environment and explore it. Most young kids do not want to study with their parents or elder siblings, for which going to school is beneficial for them which also helps them indulge in playful/physical activities.
